Miriam believes that a paradigm shift needs to be made in long-term care. Over the years she has seen the State's Long-Term Care/Regulatory, as well as local cities, become more 'elder-friendly.' Yet great strides remain to be taken in enabling the availability of family-style elder care homes in the community. It behooves us to find a remedy to the long-term care crisis. If not for our parent's sake, then for our own. Routine warehousing of our aged is NOT the answer.
